Firmware Upgrade
Please enter your serial number to determine if a firmware upgrade is necessary. Serial numbers are 13 to 14 characters and begin with BTE9.
Download firmware version 3.53
To complete the upgrade you will need:
- A Windows PC (the upgrades are not yet Mac-compatible.)
- A standard micro USB connector - please note that fast-charging connectors, as you would use for a phone, will not work.
Upgrade steps:
After downloading and unzipping the above file:
- Disable Bluetooth connection from music source, “forget” the device.
- Power off speaker using the power button located on the rear of the unit.
- Maker sure speaker is wall-powered.
- Connect the micro USB connector from PC to the micro USB port on the rear of the speaker.
- Power on speaker.
- From your PC, double click the “firmwareupdater.” (It may also appear as “updater” or “updater.exe” depending on your computer.)
- A message will pop up to indicate the firmware upgrade is in process. When it finishes, a “100% complete” message will appear.
- Unplug the USB cable and turn the speaker off and then back on again.
- The firmware upgrade is complete.
- “Exos9 3.53” will be the name shown on your device’s Bluetooth list. Re-pair your device, turn up the volume loud enough to annoy your neighbors and enjoy!
